it’s sad that i grew up 20 mins outside of detroit but have never really shot there. being down there tho... the architecture, the murals, the art, the back alleys...they call my name. detroit's eastern market and belt z lot is chalk full of beautiful artwork and it really inspires me to pair others artists work with living breathing people through my photography. give me all the textured downtown walls and i am one happy camper.

this session in particular is super special for me. matthew is my cousin. he was my very first friend. my partner in family reunion spy missions and late night dill pickle stealing operations from grandmas fridge. it feels really great to be able to gift the people i love memories that will last for ever and to be apart of such milestones in their life.
